Bali, Indonesia: The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

One of our favorite experiences we had in the Ubud region of Bali was the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. The Monkey Forest is conservancy land for the Balinese Long-Tailed Macaque and protected space for them come and go as they please. The Monkey Forest provides an unfiltered experience to see the monkey's up close and personal. Seriously, you will see the monkey's so up close that they may even steal your belongings - they stole my mom's hat! On top of seeing the Monkey's up close, the forest includes beautiful Balinese architecture, statues and temples.
